This 9 page document contains key vocabulary for all the different topics covered in the new Spanish GCSE (2018). Pupils can use this to revise key words and phrases, and to test each other as they prepare for their exams. Each vocabulary list is brightly coloured and clearly presented - can be printed A5, A4 or A3 size (could even be printed poster size!)

Pupils will learn key vocabulary and practice translation skills - they will then write creatively in Spanish to produce their own Valentine’s day card and love poem. This mat combines key grammar and vocabulary for the topic of Family and Relationships (GCSE Spanish). Pupils will use this speaking mat to help them develop their speaking and writing skills within this topic.

These cards aim to enhance fluency and spontaneity amongst KS5 pupils. The idea is that they pick up a card at random, ask their partner the question and listen to their partner’s response (and vice versa). All cards cover the different topics which come up at AS level (fashion, young people, family, tv, music, art, culture, internet and technology, tourism etc.) They are colour-coded based on topic and cover a range of different questions - ranging from the easier to the more challenging. Of course, this resource could be used in a number of ways but I used it with my Year 12 class as a spontaneous on-the-spot speaking activity in which pupils gave each other verbal feedback. It was very successful and pupils enjoyed the surprise element of it!

This resource include 15 practice role-play cards based on the New Spec GCSE topics. These cards give pupils to chance to practice preparing a role-play cards in a short period of time, and revise key topics. The resource also includes the teacher scripts for each card so pupils can practice in pairs & see how the role-play works from the examiner’s perspective. Very useful speaking practice resources!

This football themed worksheet allowed pupils to reflect on their progress throughout Year 10 (can be modified for different year group). Pupils must set themselves goals for Year 11 in all key areas of Spanish (Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening, Translation). The resource is presented like a football to link with the idea of 'goals' (see what I did there!? :D ) This could be used as a worksheet and stuck into the pupils books, or it could make a nice display.
