An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SENDCO position in this innovative and ambitious school. As the numbers of children with SEND have increased over time, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly skilled teacher to join the inclusion team as the EYFS SENDCO of this school. This role will collaborate with the current SENDCO who will move to support Year 1-6 children in our mainstream school. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, is creative and hard working with excellent organisational and digital skills.  Having the NASENCO, or aspiration to achieve it, will be an advantage. There will also be an EYFS teaching commitment as part of the role. 

Netley Primary School is an inclusive school, exuding a warmth and generosity of spirit that comes from our happy children and diverse school community. The school is set within Netley Campus, a state of-the-art learning environment for children and adults. We have 380 children, including Woodlands, an outstanding centre for children with Autism. In 2018 OFSTED judged both Netley and Woodlands as ‘Good’ in all categories, and since then we have enhanced our offering further by opening a new centre for two year olds and Science Lab.

  • is an inspiring, outstanding classroom practitioner
  • has the ability to work as part of and lead a dynamic team in collaboration with the Year 1-6 SENDCo.
  • has an excellent understanding of how EAL children and those with SEND learn
  • is able to Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND
  • is secure in their knowledge of pupils with Special Educational Needs and digital learning
  • is willing to go that extra mile to give all children best possible start in life
