In this pack, you will find 10 high quality photocards for the new AQA French GCSE on one of the 12 topics covered by the syllabus: Social Issues
I hand-picked the photos on these cards and discussed them with my students from a range of abilities. Everyone should find something to say about the photo, especially on topics that students generally find more difficult, such as customs and festivals or global issues.
The questions on the cards have been finely balanced, and like in the real examination, they offer opportunities to use a range of tenses and timeframes.
The teacher questions have been conveniently grouped on one single size of A4 in order to keep your printing costs down and to save paper and the environment. You may decide to either stick to the suggested unknown questions like in the real examination, or you may choose to pick your own question from the last page which offers a convenient way to tailor the unknown questions to the ability of your students. For this reason, the cards are suitable for both Foundation and Higher tiers.
I am a French native speaker, and I put a lot of care to ensure that there are no mistakes in the French, the variety of questions that I used, and in the overall quality of this set.
The licensing terms are extremely simple. You may use these cards as you see fit. You may reproduce them, pass them to you colleagues in other schools and encourage them to buy their own license if they decide to use them too. You may not however translate them, resell them in whole or in part, or include them in some of your work that you intend to sell.
