Sheets with irregular shapes on - can be cut out and folded in order to find lines of symmetry. Extension worksheets on finding lines fo symmetry in flags. Vaguely differentiated but really just by amount of work expected.

Symmetry worksheets where children add detail to Christmas tree and snowmen - the same to each side to keep them symmetrical! The line of symmetry is drawn on for them to see. You might want to complete the first one as an example - it says in the instructions that this has been done already but I did it by hand after printing.

A 'Maths Mission' worksheet. I took the problem from the internet and broke it down into steps on a worksheet for an able Y6 class to tackle. They begin investigating specific questions using diagrams and trial and error and progress to considering algebraic statements using the same methods. I imagine this is also suitable for older children!

Information Sheets on Louis Pasteur, common cold viruses, uses of micro-organisms in food and drink production and uses of micro-organisms in health and medicine. I made these to summarise information at an accessible level for a Year 6 class.

A planning and writing frame for children to write their own Horrid Henry Story in the familar setting of their class (or anything you want to change it to!). To introduce the work and generate ideas we discussed what kind of a boy Henry is and I used photos of different parts of a school/school activities e.g. the canteen/toilets/playground/lining up and asked the children what sort of horrid things Henry could get up to in these situations.

A Powerpoint on turning speech bubbles into written speech (correct use of speech marks and interesting words for said) plus an accompanying worksheet where children do just that.

A 'Maths Mission' aimed at able Y6 children that requires them to use the four operations and numbers 1-4 to make as many numbers up to 30 as they can. The task is a typical one I have just made a worksheet to present the challenge and for children to record their findings on. A 'Maths Mission' that isn't really an investigation but just the ultimate mulitstep problem! The document contains all the information the children need to answer the question ' How much does it cost to keep a pet dog for 1 year?' The children can record working out on the papers but might need more space! I used this with an able Y6 group but it could be adapted to many dif. groups I think.
