A version of the Nutcracker written for a KS1 Christmas production with 80 children from Year 1, 2, and 3. Could be adapted for a different number or age of children. I couldn't find one I liked online so I wrote my own using children's books of the story as a guide. Using Christmas carols and music from the ballet, all the music can be easily downloaded. Enjoy!

Two powerpoints made from screenshots of a great BBC WWI video about uniforms in the trenches, and a 'card doll' British soldier with complete uniform for children to colour and dress. The clothes can be put on using tabs or glued in place if the cutting is too fiddly.

At the request of my class, I wrote a Christmas play based around the story of the 1914 Christmas truce. Written for 85 children Year 1, 2 and 3 but could be adapted for other numbers or age group. Heavily inspired by various children's picture books, this play uses traditional Christmas carols which can be downloaded easily. We used orchestral versions which were a little more challenging to sing along to but really created a very special and moving atmosphere. Enjoy!
