A script for an Assembly about the ancient Egyptians. The script covers the topics hieroglyphs, pyramids, the making of mummies and the River Nile amongst others. The scrip is aimed at a class of 25 or more students with a number of named characters. Very few props are required and there is the ability to insert a quiz at the end of the assembly.

This assembly was performed to the school and displayed our recent work on adventure stories in Year 3. We used one child’s work to focus on and act out in parts, as well as aspects from each child’s story. We presented the assembly in the form of a ready steady cook type show with the title ‘Baking stories for beginners’ The children wore chefs whites and chefs hats made from a cylinder of card and tissue paper.
