This takes a little prep to do but my children enjoyed the freedom of moving about to get the tokens and match them to the definition of the term. It is fully editable so please feel free to add/remove terminology or create your own version. This resource includes 2 worksheets in which the children must solve what term is what and then write an example. They must finally find the terminology token and stick in correct box of the sheet. I'm using these bookmarks to prompt and remind the children of our presentation expectations of our school. You could place children's targets on back or just use them to remind the children what page they are on next (As at a young age they have a habit of missing pages out!) This resource structures persuasive writing for your whole class. I have used this resource for Year 3/4 but it can easily be adapted for year 5/6. In the past I have used this a whole lesson and written each sentence as a class to really create an in depth piece of writing. I would ask the children for their ideas and they would collaboratively come up with ideas and then write down after sharing them with whole class. I have also cut the sentence strips out and allowed my higher attaining pupils to play around with the structure. This resource allows the lowers a structure to follow and the opportunity to write without worrying about content and structure. This resource includes one template and one complete Year 2 common misconception words board game for up to 4 players. It’s A3. I’ve been struggling to engage my Year 3 class into learning their tricky words so came up with this. When a child’s playing piece lands on the circle they must write word in a sentence. Feel free to edit the words to suit your class. Hope this helps.

Hi, This Interactive white board activity allows your children to spot the odd sounding word out and play ‘Into the black hole’…a game that sees the child dragging the pseudonym (alien word) into the black hole and into oblivion. The real words stay in front of the black hole and the alien disappear behind the center of the hole. The game is accompanied by a worksheet that can be used in conjunction with the IWB or without. The resource is editable so feel free to tinker to suit the sound and needs of your class. In most slides you can edit the words. This resource can be used to measure angles and identify them. You can use it in many ways. Cut them out and stick them in the children’s books. Cut them out and use them on tables and as a carousel activity. I’ve used them on tables and placed post it notes and cups with each angle. Hi, thanks for viewing. Here is a series of 4-5 lessons that cover place value. Over 80 slides. The slides support the teaching of mastery by starting with basic concepts and taking all the class with you as the tasks get trickier. These tasks are designed for children to use practical equipment to support their learning. The lesson activities include true or false Q’s, individual tasks, guess the number an build, connect four and many more. We have recently introduced double maths sessions with a break splitting them, this has given us time to embed concepts and use the correct vocab. It has also allowed the children to discuss Maths at length and these slides support this. You can use this as a 1-2-1, small intervention or whole class resource. You van change the sequence of sessions but I’ve created them so that they build upon skills and hopefully link together :) I hope that you find this resource useful. Many thanks

The children love to be active during Phonic sessions. This activity can be adapted to any occasion/activity. For example you could use it as a dart/arrow board or roll an object and see what word it lands on. I have used it in trays or baskets and with many items that the children roll , e.g pebbles, die, small cubes, spinning tops to name a few.
