**Food Tech - Baking - Sorting Activity ** These sorting activities are based on food technology, especially on promoting the correct vocabulary used in the kitchen with equipment/routines/ingredients. It can be used as a single use cut and stick worksheet, or can be laminated with velcro to be used again - the latter is what I have done with this resource myself. The addition of velcro to the activity adds a tactile element that works well with pupils and engagement. I’m currently a teacher in a special needs school for children with ASD. The class I currently have range from P4 - 2C. We use these as starter activity during food technology lessons weekly. Our topic for this term is baking, so we use these to help boost our vocabulary, as well as for recognition of routines/equipment/ingredients when in the kitchen. The repetition of these activities weekly works well, and we are seeing great improvement in food technology, especially with vocabulary.

1950s till Now - Technology/Toys/School Life Our history topic one half term was ‘1950s till Now’. I work in a special needs school for pupils with ASD, in class with pupils ages 11-15 and levels P6 - 2C. Due to this, I had to adapt my lessons to focus around topics that would engage pupils and relate to their own lives, hence the focus on technology, toys and school life. Each lesson we would explore and engage with different physical examples from each topic, from the different decades. Then each lesson we would use the attached worksheets. The worksheets are based upon a sorting activity, where the pupils had to sort the different objects into modern day or older. They are differentiated with the further tasks, such as labeling the pictures or writing a description underneath the activity. The following worksheets are included: Toys - differentiated into LA/MA/HA School Life - differentiated into LA/MA/HA Technology - differentiated two ways LA & MA/HA

The Olympics - Differentiated Activities (P6 - L2C) I work in specialist school for pupils with ASD. The class I currently have are working at levels P6 up to 2C. These resources are based on a lesson about The Olympics, that I repeat once a week to ensure understanding is taking place. I read a story to the pupils about The Olympics, as running through a PowerPoint with visuals. As I do this, the pupils will be completing their differentiated task. It would work well as a one off lesson, or the resources can be laminated to be used on a regular basis (as I currently do). Whats included: HA Task - Pupils are to write the word relating to the visual they can see on the PowerPoint, and answer questions throughout the story. MA Task - Pupils are to write the word relating to the visual they can see on the PowerPoint. LA Task - Pupils are to match the words that they can hear and see on the PowerPoint. Story - To be read along with the PowerPoint. Olympics PowerPoint - Visuals to be used in conjunction with the story.

**Synonyms Sorting Activity ** This activity is based on synonyms/words with similar meanings. The pupils have to sort the different words into the six categories of: Happy, Sad, Angry, Scared, Big and Small. It can be used as a single use cut and stick worksheet, or can be laminated to be used again - the latter is what I have done with this resource myself. It also doesn’t have to be used as one activity, as part of workboxes using the TEACCH system I have split it into 3 activities. I use them daily with my pupils as part of their workboxes following the TEACCH system. The pupils respond well to the activity, and with daily repetition I am seeing great progress in English.

2D & 3D Shape Matching These documents when put together make two different resources. They make matching boards for 2D and 3D shapes. These include matching the picture of the shape, and then name. I work in a special needs school for pupils with ASD, with pupils ranging from P4-1C in my class. These matching activities allowed the pupils to physically match the shape to increase shape recognition. The cover image shows an example as to how the resources look when completed and laminated. You will have to laminate, cut out and use velcro to complete the resource.

French - Colours Sorting Activity These activities are based on French, focusing on colours. They are sorting activities, where the pupils have to match the correct French word to the colour. The activity is differentiated three ways. On a basic level it is a simple matching activity. The other two activities require pupils to match the words to the colours and re-write the word underneath. It can be used as a single use worksheet, or can be laminated with velcro added to be used again - the latter is what I have done with this resource myself. By adding velcro to the activity, it adds a tactile element which seems to work well and engage the pupils. I’m currently a teacher in a special needs school for children with ASD. The class I currently have range from P4 - 2C. We use these differentiated activivities weekly as part of our MFL lessons, the repetition of these activities weekly is working well and the pupils are making great progress.

Pictograms and Tally Charts (P6-L2) I work in specialist school for pupils with ASD. The class I currently have are working at levels P6 up to 2C. This lesson is based on Pictograms and Tally Charts, and is a lesson that I repeated on a regular basis to ensure that progression and understanding was taking place. This lesson would work as a one off lesson, or could be laminated and tweaked to repeat over a series of lessons (as I did). Resources include: PowerPoint - Includes information and practical tasks relating to Pictograms and Tally Charts HA/MA/LA Tasks - Differentiated tasks to complete as part of the lesson during the PowerPoint, related to creating a Pictogram of their own.

Anne Frank - Differentiated Activities (P6 - 2C) I work in specialist school for pupils with ASD. The class I currently have are working at levels P6 up to 2C. **World War One & Warhorse - Differentiated Worksheet Activities ** These worksheets are all based upon either WW1 or the story of Warhorse. Our English topic for the half term was Warhorse. As part of this, I did some basic knowledge on WW1 before moving onto the story.I work in a special needs school for children with ASD. The levels in my class range from P6 to Level 2C. So these worksheets are extremely varying in level and ability. The worksheets included are: Settings Descriptions - Farms and Trenches In these activities pupils had to describe what they could see in the pictures on their worksheet. We did some examples on the board to model. ‘I can see’ - Farms and Trenches These were for my lower ability pupils. They had to say what they could see in the picture, and label it accordingly. They also had to state where the setting was based. Character Descriptions - Albert Narracott & Joey In these activities pupils had to describe the different characters. The pictures provided the pupils with examples of their physical appearance, however they were also encouraged to include things they knew about their personality. Handwriting & Phonics Booklets - WW1, Animals/Trench life & Warhorse Again these were used with my lower ability pupils. I set them up in a clear fashion, allowing pupils to get used to the layout. They had to verbalize the word, trace it, and then copy it underneath. They then had to match the word to the correct picture at the side. Animals used in WW1 In these activity, pupils had to cut out and stick the animals on their worksheets into the different sections. From this, they then had to write a sentence about the animals that were used in WW1.

Finding Equivalent Values to 10p This activity will require you to have some 1p/2p/5p coins to use alongside it. This activity is based on money, focusing on equivalent values to 10p. Using coins, pupils have to come up with three different ways to make 10p. It can be used as a single use worksheet, or can be laminated to be used again - the latter is what I have done with this resource myself. **Tracing & Copying 2D Shapes ** This worksheet is based on 2D shapes, focusing on shape recognition as well as promoting pencil control with tracing. **Leaves, Trees and Flowers - Activities ** These worksheets and activities are all related to the topic of ‘leaves, trees and flowers’. I work in a special needs school for pupils with ASD. The class I had varied very much in level from P4 - 1C. These activities are all physical based, with cutting and sticking working on fine motor skills. Two of the activities are based on sorting either ‘leves and flowers’ or ‘trees and flowers’. The last document is a tick list that I created for a nature walk with my class. We walked around the school grounds and pupils had to tick off if they had seen that object.

Number Bonds to 10 & 20 These activities are based on number bonds to 10 & 20. Pupils have to put the correct number out of a selection in the number bonds. It can be used as a single use worksheet, or can be laminated and used with velcro to be used again - the latter is what I have done with this resource myself. The use of velco on this activity also adds a tactile element that appeals to pupils. It consists of two activities, one on number bonds to 10, and the other on number bonds to 20.
