Four detailed lessons with clearly explained tasks, starters and plenaries. Each lesson includes guiding questions,a corresponding worksheet and multiple activities for students to complete. The final ppt introduces the assessment task, objectives and an example of how to select and analyse quotations. The assessment question focuses on Lady Macbeth and her descent into madness. There is also a homework choice slide that includes extension creative writing tasks for students to choose from. A game that can be used as a starter or plenary for a travel topic. Objects appear in suitcases and students have to guess the name of the place. There are 10 different places: France England Australia Italy South Africa USA South Korea Egypt China Russia If they are the first team/pair to guess correctly they get a photo card to add to their suitcase gameboard (attached in a word file) I used this with my TEFL students and they loved it!

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to identify different parts of the human body. Activity 1: Competitive game. Students are shown vocabulary with missing letters and in teams have to write out the correct word on the mini whiteboard to gain points for their superhero team. Activity 2: Students design their own superhero and label the body parts on the back. Worksheets: Crossword, writing body parts in the correct box (face/body) and gap fill&superhero colouring sheets. I have included both WordDoc and PDF copies of the work sheets so that they can be amended/printed with ease.

Focus: How to craft a vivid setting in creative writing On the worksheet handout students have an example extract from the opening of the novel ‘Perfume’ which uses sensory description. Students must then answer the questions an explore how imagery which focuses on the sense of smell can be used to create a vivid setting. Students then complete a creative writing task and write about a modern day setting in the style of Patrick Suskind.

A lesson I made based on the resources from the British Council website https://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/sites/teens/files/tour_of_london_-_exercises_1.pdf Click the sound icon to listen to the dialogue, with each mouse-click a corresponding image comes up for a basic virtual tour. There are then three activities. Students match the tourist spot to the name, number the places chronologically and guess which tourist destination has been visited based on the review given. I've also included filler activities- a word search and colouring page.
