Dichotomous Keys
A science booklet for students studying classification. The activity booklet describes and explains not only how to use dichotomous keys, but also how to design and create them.
Students have the opportunity to use a dichotomous key to identify various animals as well as to make two original keys; one for superheroes and superheroines and one for Halloween ghouls and monsters. 10 pages.

Animal Adaptations Card Sort
The Animal Adaptations card sort is comprised of 24 cards and is a great way for students to practice identifying the three different types of adaptations. Each card has a description of an adaptation for a particular animal and an image.
Simply print and then cut out the set of cards [laminate if you wish to make class sets]. Students then shuffle the cards and sort them into their correct sets [structural, behavioural or physiological adaptations]. Once sorted students write their answers onto the answer sheet provided. Includes an answer key.
Can be printed in colour or greyscale.
Also comes with 4 blank cards for you or your students to make their own individual cards. Works great as a starter activity, plenary, review or for science stations.

The value for each question which has been chosen will be highlighted on the master category grid so that students know which questions have already been asked.
