All 4 weeks combined + resources used (white rose and any other) and PPT of WR resources (so all can see on the board)
My own personal planning so there will be spelling errors etc, I’ll be using it myself in the coming weeks.
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Place Value’ Autumn Block 1 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself to supplement/visual ways to model or teach. This is week 3 of 4.

Week 4 - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/new-white-rose-planning-year-4-autumn-block-1-place-value-week-4-of-4-11946523
This is my own personal planning which I’ll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it’s not made specifically for TES so there will most likely we some spelling errors etc
The warm ups 1-4 that are included in this planning don’t relate at all to the White Rose topic and is something I’m trialling personally - spending 1/3 of the lesson re-capping and revisiting prior learning. And since it’s my personal planning it’s mentioned on here as I didn’t want to have to delete it all just to upload. If you want to include them in your lesson as well then they’re all uploaded separately elsewhere.
Warm up 1 - Write today’s date with Roman numerals (no resource)
Warm up 2 - Fluency PPT adding within 20 ( https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/240-addition-and-subtraction-facts-within-20-ppt-resource-self-assessed-11899007)
Warm up 3 - always the ‘closing the gap’ PPT where over the year they revisit key ideas from the Y1-Y3 curriculum (Autumn 1 - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/year-4-autumn-1-maths-closing-the-gap-ppt-revisiting-y1-y2-y3-objectives-daily-11942385)
Warm up 4 - re-visting something I know they also need to work on as a class (I tend to do this on the spot/with whatever resources are already in my classroom/sometimes explained in more detail on the planning)
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Addition and Subtraction’ Autumn Block 2 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format and visual PPT to share) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself, or found, to supplement/visual ways to model or teach. We stick these into their homework books and they work through the wilfs.
The focus of the WILFs is showing how you know in a variety of ways, rather than getting the answer right.
Hi all,
I've used this homework for the past 2 years and it's always gone down well with parents. Each bit of homework is differentiated into 4 parts based on the ability groups and colours within my class (can be changed). I've included an initial letter to parents to explain the homework (on the first homework doc). I've never sent homework home to parents in Autumn 1 due to transitioning up from Foundation and the step up in learning already. It usually alternatives maths and literacy each week and then I've included phonics homework for when you near the phonics screening. All the homework was hand made by me, so not just copied resources from elsewhere online.
Hope you find some use in it and can tweak it to suit your requirements.
Hi there,
I thought I'd update a set of book labels I made for our school to keep consistency. Each class has an animal name and picture as you will see, each of these is easily changed. We print these onto labels (standard 4 to one A4 sheet) to make it easier to stick onto books.
There are 4 boxes in the bottom left, we use these to colour code books and identify for Pupil Premium, SEN, EAL and slow movers. This makes it easier for books scrutiny's but also mean the children won't know what they mean.
Hope it helps somebody looking for a whole school theme!
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Money’ Spring Block 2 planning, including resources.
Hopefully it will save somebody else some time! The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point).
https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783
I’ve also included a variety of mini maths sessions (57 separate activities) based on the NFR Y3 Autumn assessment papers which I use throughout as additional warm ups and plenaries.
I use this as warm ups or when I have a free 5 minutes. I get the children to self-mark, create their own and then set their friends challenges.
Great for recapping key skills regularly without additional work load.

I’ve collected together all the materials used for all the past phonics screening checks - 2012 being the first year it was implemented. I thought I would upload them to save others to trouble.

Hi all,
I made this for my school and we use it in combination with separate literacy + numeracy coverage documents + RE weekly themes planning.
Hope I've saved somebody some time.
(colour coded by national curriculum colours as we copy and paste objectives into our medium term plans like this)
