KS3 science revision circus

(22)
I cut up a 'CGP revision guide&' and set up 3 separate revision sessions. One for Biology, one for chem and one for physics. Basically the students go around with these revision questions and around the room are the Biology notes spread out with some demonstrations. They then do the same for the other 2 revision sessions to help them with their year 9 exams.

This is a lesson that was used for a year 7 group where they mainly looked at gel cubes which were dyed with phenolphthalein and acid was dropped on different sized cubes to see rate of diffusion. I focused on the Skills side of the lesson and it was rated outstanding . I hope you find it useful.

Carbonates and acid bath bomb lesson

This lesson achieved an outstanding grade during observation and the students thoroughly enjoyed learning about bath bombs and carbonates and acid. It is aimed at a lower group but can easily be tweaked for middle or higher groups. The worksheets are differentiated and can be found within the powerpoint. There is also a designing a bath bomb sheet within the powerpoint too. I hope your students enjoy this as much as mine did.

Cooling tea

A fun lesson used on a core curriculum evening to give a sample lesson to parents. This involves the parents and students working together to investigate the best techniques used to cool down tea. This lesson was done in 20 minute slots to 3 separate groups but can be stretched out to a full lesson. It includes a fun voice over activity at the end where students need to use their imagination and science skills to try and make a voice over for a man cooling tea in an unusual way. Enjoy
