I am currently teaching geography and environmental management at an international school following the British curriculum. KS3 geography resources follows the Oxford geog textbooks. KS4 geography resources follows the Edexcel curriculum although there is crossover into the AQA curriculum too. KS4 environmental management follows the Cambridge curriculum although there is also useful resources which can be used for KS4 geography. All lessons have been used by myself and taught in class.

This lesson is designed to last for 50-60 minutes and is resourced with videos, extension questioning, deep thinking and uses graphs/images to aid learning. This lesson follows the Oxford KS3 curriculum and looks at firstly the structure of a volcano where students will be required to label a drawing with the magma chamber, volcanic bombs, vents and others. Students will then move on to the two types of volcanoes; shield and composite. They will be required to identify features and then engage in a sorting task. Finally, students will look and both positive and negative impacts of volcanoes. This lesson includes a starter, lesson objective, plenary and various student led activities.
