I have been an RE teacher for 10 years. Made Head of Department in my second year of teaching. I have been Head of RE in in two different secondary schools in London so have wide array of schemes. I am now Head of PSHE and whole school SMSC coordinator- I have many schemes of work on social development along with assemblies, current affairs and tutor time activities.

A full lesson Made for Key Stage 3- but with elements from the GCSE course. As there is a main activity looking at different quotes Students can choose their differentiated taks to complete the main acitivity with scaffolding to help weaker students. An excellent picture task is planned wherby studetns have to compare different images of Langar. Thre is also a photocopy/ pdf from a KS3 text- although this is not mine and noe used in the lesson- ithought it might be useful for fellow teachers

A nice introduction to year 7 RE - called the London project. This could be easily adapted to any main city in the UK. 5 lessons including an assessment- with marking criteria 1. Christianity comes to England- link to Augustine 2.Multi faith society 3. use of the census and a multi faith society strengths and weknesses 4. Asssessment There is an extra lesson- which I normally use as the very first every year 7 lesson to RE- this is all about how people view the world.
