A handy UCAS Booklet for Teachers and Students. Many tasks for students to complete and can be done on UCAS days or over summer. Covers everything from: What am I doing currently? - This part gets the student to write down what they are subjects they are studying, current target/track grades and expected End of Year grade. Explains what the options are after 6th form - Using web links from UCAS and a place for students to research what Apprenticeships, Gap Year, Uni, Employment, Internships are and the pros and cons of each. This will ensure students are aware of what each option is and a handy checkbox task for students to see what they would consider. Career Choices - What careers students may be interested in after 6th form and hand links to see what career type they may fall into. Take it further websites for more info on careers and finding the perfect career related to the subjects they study. University Choices and Points Calculation - Allow students to work out how many points they have for each subject and how this works. Different Degree Choices - Allow students to find degrees from the links provided University Quiz - Rank tables and links regarding the tables. Extra links on how to find the correct university for you. Space provided for students to research different universities, courses, entry requirements etc. This will help students refer back to when they apply through UCAS. How to write a personal statement - Planning structure, questions with spaces to write under, a log of extra activities and loads more to support students with this. Many links are provided to assist students with each step. Each part it broken down so students can fill this in electronically or it can be printed. Ideal for those wanting to set work for the summer as this can be done individually.
