We have created this to be a taster for our much larger teacher planner. This free resource allows you to see if this format of planner (with clickable links) suits your needs - it might even be sufficient for what you need. It has 2 weeks of ‘Week View’ and 7 days of each week with their own page. It is completely undated, meaning you could use this as your ongoing digital diary or simple planner - you can erase anything you enter! It is much less thorough than our paid offering, but it is free! For more information about Abacus Whiskers, please check out our website: www.abacuswhiskers.com Recommended apps for iPad are: GoodNotes (https://www.goodnotes.com/) Notability (https://notability.com/) Noteshelf (https://www.noteshelf.net/) ZoomNotes (http://www.zoom-notes.com/) Recommended apps for Android/Chromebook are: Noteshelf (https://www.noteshelf.net/) Your best option Xodo (https://xodo-docs.en.uptodown.com/android) You can also use other apps too, for instance Adobe PDF Reader If the hyperlinks don’t work: In most of these apps for the hyperlinks to be active you need to be in ‘view mode’. You can easily switch between modes on each of these apps . They are not yet sophisticated enough to know when you’re annotating and when you’re clicking!

Student Assessment Table & Auto Chart Generator | Google Sheets Template

(0)
This is a Google Sheet for entering student data for multiple assessments (it is configured for up to 52 assessments and 36 students, although you can add more, or delete, if needed). You can have a difficult value for the total number of marks available for each assessment. It will use the value you input and the students score to calculate a percentage automatically. In addition, it will colour-code the scores against your chosen banding data (Eg. For an assessment out of 20, you might have: above average > 15, average 6-14, below average < 5). Finally, it is set up to create a bar chart showing each child’s scores across the different assessments (so each child gets their own bar chart). You could use this to help the children to see trends and possible areas of weakness or where further work may be needed. This assessment sheet was created as part of testing for an improvement to our Google Sheets Editable Teacher Planner and is released free, either for users of our planner to insert into their planner, or as a standalone resource. You will receive a PDF with a link to the Google Drive to make a copy of the resource.

Student Behaviour Contract | Classroom Behaviour Contract | PDF Printable

A behaviour contract (or behavior contract for the US teachers) can be a powerful tool for improving unacceptable student behavior. When a student acknowledges their behaviours and the impact on learning for themselves and others, it can lead to massive change. This PDF contract is designed to be talked through with the student, with them having an input on the steps they can take to change their behavior. Having the consequences written will help the student focus on improvement. Ideally the student, teacher and parent/guardian should sign the contract. There are two different versions included and both versions are available with US and UK spellings.

How We Use this Resource: "I have primarily used this (with children between the ages of 7 and 11) as a morning activity and as an online lesson during lockdown, with the children trained to come in, look at the board where the image and story starter sentence is displayed and are then free to discuss with fellow students or start writing their own descriptive paragraph or short narrative. They became brilliant at it and the frequent practice led to fantastic progress in their longer form creative writing. We would sometimes read the example paragraph together, before, during or after they write. It was fun to identify similar themes to their own stories. If we had time, or if they were struggling, we’d look at the questions together and see if pair, group or class discussion helped them get started." Ideal For: Creative Writing Tasks Classroom Debates Invigorating Starter Activities Thoughtful Journaling Prompts Homework Tasks The slides give further details on 10 different ways you can use this resource in the classroom. Dive into the world of StoryScape and watch as your pupils’ creativity soars. This pack is a must-have for educators eager to nurture a passion for writing and narrative exploration.
