This is my first draft of a takeaway homework template, taken from @TeacherToolkit on twitter. It was designed for Science, but is easily adaptable.

Students use the textbooks/internet to answer the questions on the worksheet. They have to answer a specified amount to be "safe" for the lesson and then there are rewards for achieving more points. Very easily a whole lesson of students working on tasks that are self differentiated.

6 questions, students have to use the information posters (which contain red herrings) to get the correct answers. First person back with a correct answer to a question gets 10 points, 9 for the next etc.

Practical lesson

Lesson to guide through moments in balance, including questions and a practical aimed at KS5 for those with high ability sets. Answers to the W/S included.

Students use masses and rulers to experiment with turning forces, then work through the calculations

Students move around a circus of activities

Practical task into amplitude and pitch using rulers. Students have to be able to describe any sound in terms of amplitude and pitch by the end of the lesson
