Have your students complete this sheet when looking at a new word to help improve their vocabulary.

This lesson discusses properties of 2D shapes, as well as where we might find the shapes in our own environment. The lesson then includes a practical activity which allows the children to find 2d shapes in their own environment, which they can then record on their sheet.

Activity allows children to match the description of the properties to the name of the shape to the picture of the shape. Missing number problems, allowing children to practice their subtraction facts using numbers up to 10 and 20

CVC word bingo for up to 4 children. Game 1: Children read the CVC word and match it to a picture on their board. Game 2: Children pick up a picture and match it to the CVC word on their board.

Count the number of stars on the card and match this to the correct number.

30 CVC words with the short ‘e’ sound e.g. leg Help children to learn these words with a fun game. Read out the word and children have to find the word as quickly as possible.

A quick and easy starter/ plenary activty to help students to practice and recognise their 2 x tables

An activity booklet to support children to learn the 2d shapes and their properties. Shapes include: square, rectangle, triangle, circle, hexagon, pentagon and octagon. The children have to trace the letters to spell out the name of the shape, colour in the shape the correct colour and then fill in the blanks.

Practice counting in 5s by filling in the missing numbers. Up to100 and 200.

Practice counting in 2s by filling in the missing numbers. Up to 50 and 100.

Matching activity using the numbers 0-20. Match te number card to the correct number of dots. If printing multiple sets, I would recommend using a different colour paper for each set.
