It is very important for your pupils to understand and know the units and to be able convert and write them down correctly. If they know their units, then they will understand what they are calculating. These posters are good to display in the classroom to remember how to convert the units use in mass. Comparing fractions is an important concept in ordering of fractions: Pupils need to understand how to compare fractions which means they need to show how they know that 1/3 is smaller than 1/2 or that 3/4 is smaller than 9/10ths and be able to order them in ascending or descending.
