A variety of resources on the Warsaw ghetto during the holocaust- this lesson includes 2 lessons, one on the conditions in the ghetto and the other on the uprising. Lesson 1 on everyday life in the ghetto alongside various images and a worksheet with lots of information for students about the ghetto. I use this lesson alongside clips from the film the pianist. Lesson 2 is a lesson focused on the Warsaw uprising to illustrate Jewish resistance with a powerpoint and worksheet. There is also a good starter activity linked to case studies showing Jewish resistance. This resource is good to link into Jewish resistance so they are not seen as just victims.

Two lessons, one that looks at the types of soldiers who fought in the Civil War and the other that looks at the impact of the war on the lives of ordinary people using the famous painting by W. F. Yeames alongside various worksheets, includes a written and role play task on the image. The lesson also include 20 sources worksheet that show life in the Civil War via primary sources and an inference square for students to explore the impact of the Civil War

This lesson as a dragons den style group task, pupils worked in groups of 5 and each analysed one of the five inventions during the Industrial revolution, they then choose one of the best inventions to invest their money in but being able to explain why. This is a good lesson to explore the start of the factory system. The lesson plan is based on the delegation task from a Teacher's toolkit lesson
