As the PCUP states 21st century all artworks featured have been made within the last 22 years and every image is referenced for ease of use by students. Created from the need to simplify ACCESS FM product analysis for younger students. The worksheet helps students organise their thinking and reminds them of the useful acronym with a question prompt for each letter. The product analysis worksheet could also be used in a cover lesson.

Students work in groups of four to indentify a problem which can be aided by use of a satellite. I have guided my students to start by looking at the UN Global Goals. Focusing on the design cycle and modelling students are asked to; research, design, model, test, change, evaluate and present. It is a short scheme good for 6 - 8 weeks with the potential to extend with a merchandising opportunity. The task is very open, students are required to independently research elements. My students are designing with autodesk and creating physical 3D models though this could be adapted however you feel best suits your students. Includes homework task and TOK questioning. This lesson can be used as part of a portraiture sol or as a stand alone leadership activity or as a cover lesson led by a non specialist, it could even be a lovely way to end a term on an academic note with a fun activity. It is a versatile lesson well resourced with a pp looking at the artist Bisa Butler, introducing the way she uses colour, leadership questions with examples of young leaders from different background and an art activity aimed at primary students which can be completed with just the print outs and colour pencil.
