I post things that are finished and that work. I make resources when I can't find anything that works in the way which I want it to. If they don't work for you then let me know through the comments section and I'll try to put them right. If they do work and you like them then please comment too. Some things take a long time to make and to get right... so I charge a little for those.

AQA GCSE Physics: Red Shift

AQA GCSE Physics: Red Shift

(6)
A very basic powerpoint and a cloze worksheet aimed at the middle to low ability. Watch the printing as the spectra are in colour and that makes the photocopying expensive. If capitation is an issue, best to print in greyscale and have students add their own colour using the presentation or use the new black and white version. If you like this, leave a review, some constructive criticism or some questions. OCR Gateway Chemistry Revision sheets C1,C2,C3

Best printed out on A3. Each broadsheet contains a series of boxes that contain questions about the relevant syllabus section, C1, C2, C3. Pupils can complete these at home or in class in pairs or groups. When complete makes a sort of mind map effect. Reviews welcome.

Drugs: half the damage

What if you could do drugs but only do half the damage? A few months ago the BBC news website carried a series of images of people made up to look as if only half of their body was damaged by drugs, a sort of left-handed Dorian Gray portrait. I found the pictures intriguing and with just PowerPoint and Paint I have made a set of images that are quite striking and may provoke debate. The photographer is Roman Sakovich.

Advertising Triple Science to KS3

Triple Science Opens Doors is a powerpoint that can be used in assemblies or on interactive displays to advertise the benefits of triple science. I have also printed out the individual slides and displayed them in groups of three in labs and corridors. There are slides linked directly to food tech, product design, music, english, geography, history, so have them displayed there too!!

Old A*-G OCR Gateway GCSE Chemistry C2 Q&A revision sheet and starter question bank.

(2)
The OCR Gateway Unit C2 syllabus turned into a series of questions and answers. Really useful starter question bank Great for knowledge acquisition. The format is a table with two columns, one Questions, the other Answers. Students fold the paper in half and ask themselves the question, turn over for the answer. Great for revision in pairs or with a parent. Even if they don’t know the chemistry, because the answers are already there. Now includes fundamental chemical concepts questions.

Writing chemical formulae and writing equations

Help your students to turn the name of a chemical into the chemical formula. A carefully constructed sequence of exercises will teach your students how to write chemical formulae. Starting with simple binary compounds and working up through complex ions, like sulphate and nitrate, until they get to brackets. Then students are taken through writing equations with a worked example and then a series of questions. If you like this, leave a review, some constructive criticism or some questions.
