I have a number of different resources for English - they include KS3 and KS4 resources for AQA, creative writing, travel writing and poetry. Most of resources are free, but there are a few I have put on here that are priced from £1.00 - £4.00. The more expensive lessons are full schemes of work. I would really appreciate any feedback on the resources.

I have included Power points and poems which should act as a stimulus for creative writing, particularly in poetry. Some of the poems were written by me, using the lessons as a starting point for my own writing. These could be used to discuss how people have used the stimulus material in their own writing.

I used this with a high ability year 8 group. I gave them different resources, such as paper, glue, googly eyes, lolly sticks, toilet rolls and silver foil. I also got them to create the interior of the room as described in the passage.

I used this to look at the openings of a number of different Dickens novels and then use what they had learned to write their own. The example is mine. They can read the extracts in one lesson and then think about the ingredients of a Dickensian novel.
