Revision lesson working through a medicine timeline and WW1. Students add three key facts to each event on timeline, colour code for the themes and complete tasks at the bottom. On the reverse is similar for the WW1 section looking at notes on each key battle, developments in treatment and prevention at the same time and the stages of the evac route. Part of a bigger enquiry into empire this lesson uses materials produced from David Olusoga’s Black and British to look into Victorian issues surrounding race, ultimately showing that despite progress in areas like abolition there were still inherently racist attitudes.

A competition made for my school. 15 posters to cover a variety of school subjects. These can be displayed in those subject areas and students have to complete and return the question sheets. I’ll be providing prizes for correct answers (will draw one out at random) and one for the best response to which of the 15 was most influential and why.
