This lesson has recently been updated for 2024, and students will spend the first part following the journey of a student called Katey, as she tries to gain a position in the tech industry. They will follow her from Year 8, how she prepared, worked hard and overcame setbacks up until the age of 22, when she finally lands a job at a small start-up. Students will then think about their own journeys, before completing job interview role play exercises and finally creating a TikTok (not on their phones) about how preparation for their eventual successful job interview actually starts now, whilst still at school.
