This revision resource brings together many of the key musical terms from three areas of GCSE Music: Performance Techniques (eg pizzicato, arco, distortion, glissando) Articulation (eg staccato, legato) Technology (eg reverb, panning, sample) There are 17 questions, totalling 50 marks. The assessment comes with a link to FREE audio, running for 37 minutes: perfect for a revision lesson, or as homework. Second in a series of six lessons designed to cover every aspect of the set work, Africa by Toto. Lesson 2 focusses on Instrumentation and Rhythm, looking at the usual, and more unusual instruments used in the song, such as recorder, marimba and gong. Clear examples and videos of each are given. The numerous rhythms features are presented clearly, with practical exercises to help students understand cross-rhythms and syncopation. EDUQAS GCSE MUSIC - AFRICA BY TOTO LESSON 3 - HARMONY AND TONALITY 26-page PPT and accompanying PDF workbook. Third in a series of six lessons designed to cover every aspect of the set work, Africa by Toto. Lesson 3 focusses on Harmony and Tonality, looking at the chord sequences of the Verses, Choruses, comparing and contrasting them. Bebop is arguably the most difficult of the Jazz styles for students and teachers to engage with and analyse by ear, and the one for which there are fewest resources. These tests are the same as those in the “Eduqas A Level Music AoS4 Jazz: Ten Sample Listening Questions” document, and therefore follow Eduqas-style questions.
