Everything you need to deliver 6 Biology practical activities in the lab. Easily adaptable and suitable for Year 7, 8 and 9. Some would also be suitable in GCSE. The slides for each activity include the apparatus needed, method, results and conclusion/evaluation. I have been using these 6 activities in KS3 for several years now and they work very well, they are one hour long approximately. They can also be performed as demonstrations.
Heart and lung dissection
Burning Candles
Measuring cardiac output - this practical does not require a lab and could also be conducted in an online lesson.
Respiration in Yeast
Proper use of the microscope.
Growing bacteria: this is one of my favourites because they enjoy it a lot.
Check the slides’ notes for some extra info.
Coincides with Exploring Science textbook/scheme of work, but can be used alongside any other SOW.
Technician notes and basic risk assessment are included for all practical activities in an excel document.
All pictures have been sourced from the creative commons website.

The slides have been prepared in power point. All pictures have been sourced from the creative commons website. The power point is very easy to navigate for students to be able to used it for their revision.
A pdf is included for students to follow the part of specialised cells. The editable version is included.
Please, DM me if you have any doubt.
Constructive feedback would be much appreciated.
Everything you need to deliver the physics unit of speed for Year 8. Easily adaptable and suitable for Year 7 and 9, and for distance learning approach.
The topic is divided in 6 parts:
How fast? Measuring speed: learning objectives+ lesson + basic activities to practice speed calculations.
Speed check: learning objectives+ lesson with video about light gates + a think-pair-share activity and a mini-plenary
Patterns of movement: learning objectives+ lesson
Distance-time graphs: learning objectives+ lesson + 3 examples + mini-plenary
End of unit questions: 5 representative activities for students to feel confident.
Revision: 25 minutes of revision activities + slides to check the proper answers. It can be used as a revision or assessment
Check the slides’ notes for suggestions, answers or extra info. Coincides with Cambridge Checkpoint textbook/scheme of work, but can be used alongside any other SOW.

Feedback would be very appreciated as I would like it to be useful for my students so if you find something wrong or missing do let me know.
This power point shows some basic activities to be done with the app iCircuit. It is a great opportunity for KS3 science students as the can build easily parallel and series circuits and then some more complex ones with more components. The last slide offers a final task about Galvani and Volta’s work.
These power points include the guidelines for a project about “Classification and Variation” following the Exploring Science Textbook for Year 7. Some of the terms covered for students to research are: classification, inherited variation, environmental variation, animal kingdom and plant kingdom.
It can be easily edited so that it forms a big project or it can be divided into smaller tasks depending on time availability. It can also be adapted to use in year 8/9.
