A complete unit of art, based around the underground railroad/freedom quilt tradition. Perfect for a cross curricular topic on the Caribbean and its history (linked to the slave trade) Children learn about the underground railroad movement, its songs and also its symbolic artwork. They go onto make quilt squares depicting these symbols. Please comment and let me know if this has been useful to you :)
