Students cut out and colour the layers of the sun. Write the name of the layer/zone and then use the table to research information about it. AQA GCSE Biology Content,(8464) required practical and skills PLC: The Biology content broken down into 'can do' statements. Teachers can RAG rate student progress to highlight strengths and weaknesses on this already formatted spreadsheet. All you have to do is put a number in and it will change colour automatically, saving you time and effort. Also include is a required practical tracker, a trilogy biology required practical assessment booklet and a general scientific skills PLC tracker. PLC trackers are included for the chemistry trilogy required practicals, cell biology, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance, variation and evolution, ecology and key skill areas, This PLC contains extra outcomes added from the trilogy version. This resource should help you track student progress until they master each element of the Biology trilogy specification. A resource that should be printed back to back (on long edge) and cut out and folded. The circuit names are already printed on the resource and it allows students to research either in a lesson for a homework the symbols. The tabs all neatly fold over in the book, making the key terms stand out. There is also space for teachers/students to add an extra one when and if required.

Engage your students as they learn all about the process of electrolysis and the purification of copper in a series of diagrams that can be stuck in their exercise books. This foldable allows students to see first hand how waterfalls are formed and makes them use key terminology to explain the process. It is much better than drawing the stages in a book purely because it moves and the interactive element it has. Students colour and label the key features. Glue the 2nd layer down which then folds back as the waterfall erodes and retreats. The waterfall question sheet can be cut out and stuck on the back of the folding waterfall. This is a great teacher timesaver as it is ready to print and the students will really engage with making their own personal waterfall...why not get them to name it? Students can colour and create an interactive resource that they can stick in exercise books. The flaps lift up to show the effects of either physical, chemical or biological weathering. Students can then describe the process under the flap. Also including is a worksheet to assess knowledge and a teacher guide which contains photos of the finished products.

A foldable designed to engage learners studies nutrient groups. The end result is the student having a fold out resource either in their books or as an external interactive version. There is space left on the sections so you as the teacher have autonomy to instruct your learners to fill in as you wish - I always make sure that when I teach it my learners have included the nutrient group name, functions, examples of foods which contain the nutrients . Also included are 2 worksheets. a factfile research task which could also be used as a homework and a visual hexagon activity in which students are required to make links between the pictures and to explain why each one is important.
