A complete PPT lesson la laïcité et Noël en France - secularity and Christmas in France. Aimed at A level students as it encourages debates/use of spoken French for a large part in the classroom. Includes grammar points and vocab points created as feedback from a previous essay homework set to students. These are, of course, transferable as they include common mistakes made by students when writing in French. Encourages students to challenge how democracy and secularity works - the French state is supposed to be separate from the Church however all Bank Holidays are Catholic festivals.
