Peer review is an excellent end of lesson plenary activity for writing lessons. In my class I have these posters doubled-sided-printed and laminated and readily available around the room as well as featuring on my English display board. The first two students to have adequately finished their work then peer review each others' by offering a compliment, suggestion and correction. Having completed the activity a couple of times the students really understand what makes constructive feedback (the guidance also helps with this). A great writing plenary.

This National Curriculum KS2 Maths 4-lesson unit of unit reinforces the pupils' understanding of reflection, introduces translation and then combines the two concepts. Each lesson contains warm-up exercises and resources - everything is ready for print and learning! The original file is a flip chart, and I have also created a PDF version which is also located in this download. Do you want to assess your students' understanding of reflection and translation? This reflection and translation assessment was created to directly follow this unit of work: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/reflections-and-translations-assessment-11534928

Christmas I Spy as part of your Christmas week activity/ activities. Differentiated into 4 sheets to be placed on desks, enlarged to A3 or projected on board. For younger learners, foundation stage, Kindergarden (Kindergarten), elementary, (UK) KS1, KS2, KS3, Middle School, High School and above. Levels are designed to be: simple yet fun for young children; the challenge develops at each new level, introducing the need for more Christmas critical thinking to decipher the verbal clues. Young learners: Play Christmas I Spy to introduce your young children and students to Christmas vocabulary. Encourages speaking and listening skills. Children: Can also be played as a Christmas vocabulary test or game – students have set time to list the images they see! Set them a time limit to make the game harder. Play as a Christmas memory game by showing to students for a limited time then have them list as many items as they saw – points for each correct answer. Older students: Play Christmas I Spy with your older, teenage, KS3, Middle School, High School students in teams or as individuals. The highest-level game sheet contains both high and low frequency words making the Christmas “I Spy something beginning with…” harder to determine and locate as the game continues.
