This bundle includes nine lessons and covers the beliefs section for Islam in the AQA short course GCSE. Easy to adapt to other exam boards. Individual tasks can be adapted and differentiated for other SOW.

Hindu festivals. Diwali and Holi.
Third lesson in SOW looking at the main beliefs of Hinduism. This lesson looks a the festivals of Diwali and Holi. Students look at the stories behind each festival and how Hindus celebrate them today.

Causes of war.
First lesson in scheme of work focusing on religion, peace and conflict. These lessons look at a number of different aspects of war including the causes, the moral aspect of going to war, pacifism, weapons of mass destruction and the just war theory.
This lesson introduces students to the concept how and why wars start and moral guidance of how wars should be fought.

Sixth lesson in GCSE AQA Islam beliefs paper. This lesson looks at the Islamic belief in the idea that Allah is in total control (Al-Qadr) and the role that free will plays int he lives of Muslim. Sixth lesson in SOW looking at main beliefs of Hinduism. This lesson looks at one of the worlds most well known Hindus, Gandhi and his belief and practice of Ahimsa. Students are familiarized with the biography of Gandhi, his salt march and some of his quotes.

Final assessment lesson in scheme of work aimed at KS3 focusing on what philosophy is.
Students will study study famous philosophers such as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle and consider how their thoughts and teachings are relevant to the modern world.
