This is a lesson I put together for my students to learn about Convection remotely. I have recorded myself talking through the powerpoint I would usually use for this lesson in school. The video is broken into chunks so that they can complete various activities as we go through the lesson. I used this ppt for the first lesson with my Yr 7 to get them thinking about rules in the lab. I printed off the second slide and laminated it and gave it to pairs of students with a whiteboard pen and asked them to circle any dangerous situations - we then used what they came up with to draw up our own class list of safety rules

I've adapted a sheet I found on TES (Thank you!) to add more assessment opportunities - I used this at the start of a lesson revising photosynthesis - students filled only what they were sure of at beginning of lesson then I went through lesson and then they want back to sheet and completed the rest of it.

This is a task I give students at the end of the separating mixtures unit - the students are grouped into ability groups (Squid = HIgh, Crab = Mid, Starfish = Low) I show them a sample of dirty Rock salt - their task is to plan how to separate a sample of pure salt from the rock salt using these planning sheets - I blow them up to A3 to give them plenty of room to write on as a group
