This is the fifth lesson for Key Topic 2 in the Democracies and Dictatorships in Germany A Level unit. This lesson focuses on the Nazi system of government and compares the power of the party with the power of the state, with a focus on the role of Hitler and Dualism. The activities are contained within the power point, and students are required to reach a conclusion about where the power in Germany lay - the party or the state? This resource is targeted at supporting A level students master historiography. It contains one mat for each of the following relating to the reign of Henry VII: Consolidation of power and the establishment of a stable monarch (fully completed to model activity) Government and finance Foreign policy Society Economy Religion; humanism and the arts The first mat is completed with the historiography, plus evidence to support each argument as an example. The task is for students to research each historiography and record evidence (the historiographical argument is included on each mat). These completed mats should then be used for revision/essay writing/evaluating interpretations. They will support students’ learning at A level and weremade for AQA Unit 1C, however are useful for any post 16 study of the Tudors.
