Science week 2013 Inventor Hunt
We are setting this up for science week. Students will be given their clue card. 20 teachers are selected to wear a science week badge and carry a laminated inventor card. Students need to find the teacher to solve the clue. This is something that you can use during the week as a background activity.

Biology Revision Plan OCR B
A revision plan for students going into year 13 studying OCR B Biology. it’s designed for them to use independently and follows the interweaving and spacing concepts. it may help alleviate some exam
Teachers will need to provide exam questions.
Combined Science Student Revision Plan
Aqa specification
A yearly plan for students to use for revision. it involves students revising using Quizlet and they have released a gcse scheme of revision cards.
The textbook pages relate to separate sciences kerboodle but this is easily changed to suit.
It uses the principles of spacing and interweaving and gives students a manageable list of things to do each week.
The red tasks should be provided by the teacher, I’ve made a folder on google drive for these activities.

Christmas themed lesson on exercise, asthma and smoking
Students learn about smoking and asthma through Santa with videos and then carry out a traditional exercise experiment with a santa theme! KS3 lesson.
AQA Biology Selective Breeding 2016 onwards
Student led lesson on selective breeding with a starter, literacy task and video links. Finish with a kahoot!
KS3 / KS4 Properties of Light
Full lesson with a creative task on light. Students would need access to textbooks or IT for the task

The scale of the universe
I used this as a starter for cells, tissues and organs.
Students use cups in a fun challenge to arrange key terms into size order e.g. cells, organelles, atoms, organs

Heat in a kettle writing task
Students use a concept cartoon to write a statement identifying which concept they agree with and why. They focus on heating water using a kettle.
