Sequence of Lessons for mid to high ability year 7 students
Observations in Science
A selection of experiments are set up in a circuit fashion around the room. Students simple try out the experiment or activity and record what they have observed. Focuses specifically on how well they describe each station.
Human Skin Colour
A lesson outside the curriculum. It starts with an introduction to the structure of the skin and it can be changed to suit KS4 and KS5. I’ve included 2 TED videos on skin structure the skin colour. There is an outline of the evolution of human skin colour with activities. The plenary asks questions and this lesson can be followed up with lessons on anti-racism.
