Mixed Math and Handwriting Morning starter slides

This resource is very useful when you have a slow start and the children are coming in in random waves. This resource has 20 slides and its enough for a month’s morning starter for a Year 2 class. It has a Phase 5 handwriting focus and a simple maths focus of either place value, counting in 10’s or number bonds.

KS1 Estimation Station Display and prompts

This is a Estimation Station I use in my KS1 classroom. It is simple, visual and black and white printer friendly. This resource contains a display image with appropriate vocabulary, sheets for the children to write their answer on and 10 visual prompts to be used in conjunction with concrete materials or as a quick visual question for the children to respond to. These prompts correspond to all areas of the KS1 Maths curriculum aims as well and are useful for Assessment and pinpointing misconceptions.

100 Square Morning Starter resource

I use this as a daily morning starter to support my students either in Year 1 as a way to stretch them or in Year 2 as a way to support and gather evidence that the children can count up to 100 independently. This morning starter is differentiated and adapted 8 different ways so should be supportive in adapting to all of your students whether working below, working at or if you need to challenge them further. This word document resource will fit on a A4 page and will fit easily into most maths work books. Not revolutionary but it will save you at least ten minutes in creating, re-sizing, configuring print settings etc.

Maths symbols Display KS1

This is a resource I use in my own KS1 classroom and is really useful for reminding the children of which function we are using to day and the key stem language associated with it. 7 key symbols. Simply print, cut out and display. This resource is ideal for ECT’s needing to decorate a classroom. If you find this resource useful please rate and review. Thank you!
