Alevel Russian History OCR -can be used for any spec/ GCSE if simplified Very comprehensive double 2 hour lesson plus homework on the Impact of WWI on Russia - Economics, Society and Politics and the Causes of the February Revolution Includes a very detailed powerpoint including retrieval tasks for previous work studied, including debates, e.g. how stable was Russia on eve of war? Was the February revolution from above or below? Looks at all political, economic and social effects of WWI follows my previous lesson on How stable was Russia in 1914. Edexcel Politics ALevel (Can also be used for AQA) This is a batch of revision end of topic checklists AND glossary/ key word sheets for all topics: Constitution Congress Presidency/ Executive Supreme Court and Civil Rights Democracy and Elections including Political Parties I have created some topic checklists for each topic from the spec with key bullet points for students to traffic light their confidence including key words at the bottom. For US Presidency and Supreme Court/ Civil Rights I have also included key case studies as I know students struggle with these. This is an incredibly detailed lesson- my motto with ALevel is I do the reading so you don’t have to! I’ve read extensively and included a lot of detail within all the resources. Demonstrates turning points in Stalin’s rule e.g. the death of his wife and the 17th Party Congress and significance. Also includes key case studies e.g. the Ryutin Platform and impact. Examines the role of NKVD and various leaders including their purges! Includes Stalin’s purges of various sectors of Russian society and the Communist Party.

This lesson is designed for KS3 but can be used for KS4 also for the AQA and Edexcel specs. It examines how far the lives of women changed during the 1920s and covers flapper culture as well as opposition from Christians and Traditional women as well as some men and authorities. Includes 3 activities - a similarity and difference activity, note taking from a video clip and explanation and a card sort with continuums to annotate before making final judgments. Considers nuances such as the lives of African-Americans in both the North and South e.g. Harlem Renaissance vs Southern Jim Crow repressed women. Also looks at age groups and rural vs urban women.

Lesson on Revolt of the Norman Earls 1075 For GCSE Anglo Saxon and Norman England This lesson has all resources needed for teaching students about the Revolt of the Earls in 1075- ideally using the textbooks but all info is on slides if you don’t have them!

This lesson is about Edward VI reign and impact of his short reign focused mainly on his reformation of the Church of England. GCSE Edexcel Superpower Relations and the Cold War 1941-1991 This lesson follows my lesson on the Second Berlin Crisis and examines why the Wall was built and what the consequences were on Berlin/ Germany, USA, USSR and International Relations. Fully resourced, does not need textbooks - any reference to the textbook- has all the necessary information on the following slides/ animations pull it up but obviously you can use the textbooks if you have them- or print the info on the slides for students to do that task independently. Very detailed; enough material for Grades 9-1.

Edexcel GCSE Superpower relations Key Topic 2: Cold War Crises Lesson 4 The Cuban Missile Crisis 1962 This lesson follows my lesson on the Cuban Revolution and Bay of Pigs invasion It examines the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Khrushchev’s defence of sending missiles to Cuba and Kennedy’s decision making as well as the divisive advice from the Hawks and Doves in foreign and defence policy. The consequences of Cuban Missile Crisis are also covered alongside an 8 mark write a narrative account question. Also includes a gap fill model answer to the Explain two consequences of the Bay of Pigs invasion question including an SEND version with words to use to make it easier.
